Here's how Will Ferrell - yes, that one - made baseball history yesterday

He’s kind of a big deal.

COMEDIAN WILL FERRELL made baseball history yesterday when he not only played every position on the field, but he did so while suiting up for 10 different teams.

Ferrell was taking part in a new show with Funny Or Die in partnership with the MLB.

The idea is to help support the fight against cancer by raising close to $1 million, and Ferrell travelled to five different stadiums by car and helicopter throughout the day.

He started the adventure by trying on all 10 uniforms at the same time.

Before taking to the field for the first time with the Oakland A’s to play shortstop.

Ferrell though, was quickly traded to the Seattle Mariners. Luckily, the were in the opposition dugout.

His third team was the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim where he replaced reigning AL MVP Mike Trout before being traded to the Chicago Cubs for a washing machine.

While he moved from the Cubs to the Diamondbacks on an even stranger trade:

All told, Ferrell spent time with the Athletics, Mariners, Angels, Cubs, D-backs, Reds, White Sox, Giants, Dodgers and Padres during his brief — but eventful — MLB career.

He failed to get a hit on two at bats and threw one pitch for a strike before retiring.
